News

Seminar recap – I taught with John Sepulveda at Rob Hazlewood’s studio in Colleyville, TX last month at Rob’s annual AKTS Texas Round-up seminar. Mr. Sepulveda taught classes on category completion while I did mine on alternate applications.
I had to cancel out on my scheduled appearance at Ultimate Kenpo Warriors in Deerfield Beach due to my move back to Texas, which fell on the same weekend. Disappointing for me, I was looking forward to seeing some old faces and meeting the new up-and-comers.

Extension Manual, Part Three
For those who have asked, I am working on writing the next 24 techniques. This should be useful in following the online videos, too.

Update – KenpoTV

Ten new videos were uploaded last month, with several more coming. The technique extensions are what was uploaded, both solo and application clips.
With over 1,000 videos on the site, people use it to learn and stay fresh on the material. Many instructors use the site to help them in planning lessons. Some hook it up to a monitor in the class room to illustrate principles in motion. Still others do it live by arranging a session with me via video chat. kenpotv.com. A week-long trial is $1. The site is licensed by the Parker family.

Updated – Online Training
I provide web-based sessions either in one-on-one lessons or groups. With today’s technology, it’s even easier to take advantage of this. So many schools have a big-screen in their training area that it’s much easier to do now than ever. I have students across the US and in Europe taking regular lessons.
Private lessons are popular but I do quarterly group sessions as well. “Mini-seminars” you might call them.
A typical private lesson package would include conveniently scheduled sessions in blocks of 5 or 10 and single sessions are also possible.
I’ll send you notes on the lesson by e-mail afterward, too.
Those taking the classes have told me they’re very beneficial.
If you’re interested, please contact me at lee@leewedlake.com. By the way, the protocol would be to make sure it’s ok with your teacher, if you have one.
